Splish Splash.. places where we take baths

It's almost Friday AGAIN... I can't believe all of this is still going on over at Kelly's Korner. But as long as she's hosting and I have a house and a camera to capture it with, well... there's gonna be photos for your viewing and judgement passing pleasure =)

This week is all about the baths and while we have three of them, I'm not sure ours are anything to get excited about. Like every other room I've ever shown you, they are of course, NOT FINISHED.

Take for example, our master bath:

{FYI ~ That is a very soft, furry rug in front of the vanities. In the beginning, I thought it might be a wild choice, as I've never owned a furry rug. But it's sooOo soft on our footsies when getting ready in the morning. I love it.}

Don't get me wrong, I love our master bath. But here's the plan anyway, since I have such trouble with contentment...

First off, the bathtub needs a little light over it with it being a bit dark in that corner of the room. Even Nick agrees that a small, sparkly chandelier would be just perfect! Coupled with the charcoal gray walls I'm going to paint the bath, I'd say the following photo is a great depiction of a similar finished product:
I also want to paint the cabinets a glossy black... something like this:

A big black and white picture of the Eiffel tower over the tub will carry the Parisian/glamour/romantic features of the master bedroom into the bath. {Excited about seeing the master bedroom yet? Coming soon!}

The guest bath/powder room on the first floor. This room will also be painted, conveniently, the same blue as the family room, which, conveniently, matches the blue in the towels/shower curtain and that we CONVENIENTLY have a gallon of left over which should paint the entire room. Can't wait to see the yellow gone!

Last and definitely, least, the guest bath in the basement. This bath is also right outside of the pool room/theater/game room and is a place where people will ______ when we're entertaining downstairs as well.

I love the sink bowl. Thanks previous owners, for your great taste in accessories!

I've added links to the sidebar of our blog if you're interested in the progress of our new home!
As always, thanks for stopping by, y'all come back now, ya hear ;)
