Inspired by this tutorial, {I love how artistic and beautiful this bloggy lady is!}, I set out to make my own little gift for Houston – something from the heart that I hope he’ll one day cherish.
I’m not sure where we’ll hang it in his nursery, but I wanted to get it finished in time to display his precious name at our baby-shower this weekend.
Do you spy with your little eye mommy and daddy’s initial’s carved into the tree?
I love this throw-back to memory lane remembering one of our groom’s cakes, a “tree stump” with our initials carved into it.
And his verses I picked for him that I hope will help him always see the one true light in any times of darkness:
“…for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more.”
~Isaiah 60:19-20
