Enjoy the ride

Yesterday, two almost 26 year olds went to Kings Island for a full day of roller coaster riding, greasy food eating, and haunted house exploring.

That's the female "adult" on the left in the Sigma sweatshirt and that's the male "adult" on the right in the black with the nifty swept backward hairdo.

We've both been to the theme park in Cincinnati dozens of times growing up and several times since being together, but never during this time of year when the Halloween theme is in full force.

I even dressed up for part of the day to get in the Halloween mood.

Like my costume?

Each time we jumped off the coasters, we'd stopover to check out our photos {that you're supposed to purchase} and I would attempt to slyly take a pic of the pic with my phone.

Sometimes they would stop me.

Sometimes it was too late =)

This last picture is from a haunted house hospital where all the bloody teenage zombies supposedly were the leftover living dead killed by swine-flu. {Appropriate? Not sure. Let's just say they haven't really had a great run with displays of good taste lately... So we're just going to slide past that debate on this blog.}

Our friends Nancy and Jake {on the left} joined us for the evening and were around for this crazy photo just before we all "risked contracting H1N1" in the haunted hospital. The photographer pushed a button and simultaneously scared us with a loud noise/wind machine and took our picture.

This was the result.

{No clue who the people on the right are!}

Thanks to our dear friends who came out, we had a blast!

{And we "purelled" our hands all day long just in case the real H1N1 virus was all over every surface in the park!}

  1. I love all the pics, (are they kidding with the prices for those pics). I do love how they boys didn't seem to be scared on the last pics.

  3. Aww, I love Kings Island. I worked there as a lifeguard when I was in high school! I haven't been there in a few years though. Looks like you had fun! I love your new background. So vintagy!

  5. Awww yay how fun! A few years ago I worked as the Picnic Coordinator for the corporate and family events at KI and helped build a fear zone and coordinate the opening night marketing event - I've since developed a fear of roller coasters (even though I've NEVER had a problem) and haven't been back since. Looks like you all had a blast though!

I just shared my thoughts, I'd love to hear you share yours! {Besides, I'm tired of listening to the voices in my head.} I kid, I kid... ;)
