Stephanie Lately

I DIDN'T FALL OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH!!!!

Or did you even notice my BIG 4 day hiatus from the my blogging obssession?! It wasn't that there wasn't plenty to blog about.... OH there was, just too much happening to sit down and write about it.

We had a great weekend with friends and family! Nick's brother and his fiancee, (Chad and Lauren), came to town on Tuesday night and we've had a great time hanging out with them and catching up. On Thursday, Lauren and I spent almost the e-n-t-i-r-e day trying to make them a wedding website. It's almost finished and I can't wait to post the url so you all can check 'em out. {Lauren ~ I updated it a little more late last night. Let me know what ya think!}

On Friday, Nick's family had a big cook-out with friends, great food, and very comfy weather. We headed out to Lexington Saturday morning for Nick's work party at the Marriott in Lexington. Did we stay at a hotel in the same city as our "vacation home"? Yeap. Why not - it wasn't on our dime!

The only picture I got of the evening... my apologies for providing you with only a picture of a picture. Believe me, I'm dissapointed in my photo slacking as well.

The party also included a little auction with money THEY gave you and look what we walked away with (again, we spent not even one of
our own dimes!):

A Sony home stero system that will go great in our movie room - YAY! {I also enjoyed the Visa gift cards they gave us to spend on whatever our hearts desired, which were suppose to make up for our gas and food costs to come to Lexington, but I'm seeing them as bucks to spend on shelves, and rugs, and frames....}

Nick and I each drove seperate cars to Lex so that he could leave on Sunday to go back for the work week and so that I could stay and study at the house... I'm not going to lie, much studying HAS NOT been done, but my mom was here on Monday, just left a few hours ago and I had several things that needed to get done around here before going back to East KY, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I'm ready to study my socks off now. Have you seen my study materials?>?

You're looking at about a million trillion jam packed flash cards and huge info loaded posters, some of which are double-sided. Is it necessary to know all of this to be a doctor? Yes. To be a pharmacist? HECK NO!

That's not even the half of it! My school has another 200 page book for us to study. All of this for the NAPLEX, which is the national pharmacy exam AND THEN I have another huge book of notes to study for the KY law exam... which I'm not even planning on getting around to studying till after I get the NAPLEX out of the way, which will give me about 10 days to study for the law portion.

Grrrrrrrrrreat.

But do you know what really is great?! Britney and Dave brought their little girl, Kennedy, into the world last Thursday! Keep this precious little family in your prayers. Congratulations, Moughamians!

Beautiful.

Blessings!

  1. I love what you did with the website--it looks great! PS--my mom (forgive her) gave it out to all her friends, so basically ppl have been looking at a half done website, so, they all called back to inform my mother that it wasn't finished yet--she then called to let me know that WE (meaning you and I) should have told HER we weren't done (last time I checked we gave her the address to look at it herself!)--she's lost it! But thank you for all your help--we appreciate it soooo much! Love-L
