Who knew?

Who knew my last post would be the last post for such a long while... certianly not me. On my days off, my sweet, studious husband would take the laptop to class with him while I sat at home contemplating doing what Dane Cook calls a "B&E". That's breaking and entering for those of you out there who aren't fans of Dane Cook's comedy and who also aren't total thugs or who weren't recently released from prison.

Why a B&E? So I could borrow a neighbor's laptop and get something posted on here, of course!

But *sigh*, had I even accomplished the B&E and stolen borrowed a computer, STILL I would have had nothing to say. No pictures to show, no crafts to share, nothing, nothing, nothing. Well, nothing interesting at least.

I could tell you about an above average cruddy day at work where I finally did what everyone said would happen eventually, but I never believed the hype, until now, until it finally happened. I cried. I cried at work.  In the back aisle between the A-G drugs, where no one could see, while calling my pharmacist in charge to ask for advice, I cried. I also cried on the 2 hour drive home, when I got home to my husband, and then almost cried again the next day while telling my sister and brother-in-law all about it in the middle of Dick's Sporting Goods. It's over now, all is good, and hopefully I've left with a very good lessson learned.

But now - WOW. I have lots to share this week =) Let's start with last night's dinner party.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume ya'll know Dave and Brit. Brit - the fabuloously funny and gorgeous domestic diva and stay at home mom whose captivating blog... well, captivates us. How about Ginny and Andrew?

Well, you might recognize Ginny from either mine or Britney's blog but you won't recognize her from her own blog... yet. I might just get this extremely talented and also gorgeous gal to start a blog even if it kills me.

That should about sum up the guests: Ginny, Andrew, Dave, Brit, their plus one, Kennedy, Nick, me, and wittle Hendrix.

He stayed in his sweater for approxiamtely 5 minutes. The 5 minutes before people arrived and no one got to see his cuteness. Darn.

We all ate, we laughed, the boys watched football and the girls GABBED!

Case in point:

Whoops, it sure does look as if I lied. The girls are gabbing but it seems as if the boys are watching basketball instead. I could have swore some stinky old football in the very pretty snow was on the television at some point last night.

Anyway - of the many pics I did take, one little princess certainly did take up the majority of them:

This girl can B-O-U-N-C-E! I never knew how entertaining a bouncing baby can be - but, boy did we laugh!

And just because the first shot cut of the toes her very adorable, glitzed Chuck Taylors:

This big grin peppered with dimples inherited straight from her momma? That sweet smile was just for my Hendrix. I do believe it was love. You can see some of his pom tail getting in the way of the camera at the bottom. He was immeadiately extremely protective of her. He barked whenever anyone picked her up or swung her around to play. I see a very good big brother in our future!

After dinner, things started getting p-r-e-t-t-y- crazzzzy down in the basement. The guys played pool while the girls, inspired by Kennedy's bouncing, started getting pretty silly.

It started with just a giggly miss K:

Momma Brit joined in:

Ginny decided to add to the madness:

Finally, not one to be left out, the whole group went cuckoo:

{Mind you this was all around 11:00 at night!}

Playing with a wreath all to hear a baby giggle?
Whatever it takes!

And now to wrap up with a few shots from our photo shoots:

{We might just be a little full of ourselves OR the guys are just camera shy. Either way, guess you're stuck with just the ladies!}

Thanks, friends, for coming over! We had a blast♥

I'll do my best to be back tomorrow for The Nester's Holiday Tour of Homes!

Christmas Tour of Homes with The Nester

Nite!

  9. You can earn $20 for a 20 minute survey!

    Guess what? This is exactly what large companies are paying for. They need to know what their average customer needs and wants. So large companies pay $1,000,000's of dollars every month to the average person. In return, the average person, like myself, answers some questions and gives them their opinion.
