Dull

Hello from nerd world!

I'm sick of these glasses, that calculator, and those calculation flashcards right now.

I'm tired of living in the dining room, a.k.a. my new office.
{I don't study in the actual office due to loneliness and isolation, as well as increased distance from the sound of a television...}

What's getting me through all of this last minute, extremely intense study/stress/panic?

PRAYER!!!

{Pay no attention to the gross wadded up tissue in the pictures. After 2 weeks, I'm still not completely over my Kleenex dependence.}

But I do love a beautiful day, the kind that I can sit on the deck and bask in the beautiful summer weather, while studying.

As you can see, there isn't much new in my life right now. My first of two pharmacy exams I need to pass to earn my license is Friday morning. I worked on Sunday and will work on Saturday so that I could have the days off in between to cRaM!

I plan on getting a bit of retail therapy after the test on Friday afternoon with my mom since Nick will still be in class. I just need something to look forward to besides the d-e-p-r-e-s-s-e-d feeling I know I'll be experiencing after 4 hours of interrogation by the American Board of Pharmacy.

AND now for some news that DOESN'T involve complaining and wallowing in self-pity and doubt.

My close family and friends know that I usually pass on the salad. I've just never been much on the green stuff. But for the last few days, I've been lovin' on it, thanks to this stuff:

Strawberry and mango dressing! They are both soooooo delicious and only 10 calories a tablespoon... amazing.

It also helps that I load my salad with baby spinach, strawberries, tangerines, feta cheese, and honey toasted almond slivers. It may not be your cup of tea, but to me, this is how you do salad.

And hEy! My mother-in-law dropped by to bring us an early anniversary present... we got the Eiffel Tower painting I was wanting for above the tub! I love how unique it is and fits the space perfectly.

Finally, we also have a new magazine in our house, a subscription to "Good Housekeeping". One that I was surprised to come home and find. A magazine I've never purchased before, I've never mentioned I wanted, but one that I have actually enjoyed reading now that it's in my home.

But seriously, can you imagine my.... ummmmmmmmmmm, how do I say this.... thought process (?) with this gift from my husband?

He says he got it free with a couple other magazines and decided one should be for me. This was all he could think of on the spur of the moment...

Really. Let's all have a hearty laugh out loud together, shall we?

  11. Too bad you can't use some of that pharmacological therapy to help with the stress during your test!!! It would probably make it a little harder to concentrate. LOL! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love, Melissa
